08/17/2018 (Friday, 11:30pm): We had two days without rain for a change so I took a quick trip up to New York City. Unfortunately, a power failure on Thursday morning killed my site for the day. Sorry about that. Still in queue from the close to 50,000 step trip through New York City:
  • Lots of interesting sites identified by Atlas Obscura (http://www.atlasobscura.com)
  • New York Public Library (Schwarzman Bldg) "You Say You Want a Revolution: Remembering the 60s" exhibit
  • Columbia University's Butler Library "Enchanted Vision: The Arthur Rackham Collection" exhibit
  • New-York Historical Society "Rockwell, Roosevelt & the Four Freedoms" and "Walk This Way" exhibits
  • Rubin Museum of Art
  • High Line
  • Metropolitan Museum of Art "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination" exhibit (which was a fascinating and eerie exhibit!)
  • Society of Illustrators Museum "The Art of the Avengers and Other Heroes" and "Funny Ladies at the New Yorker" exhibits
