Unfortunately, my network has a limited bandwidth and pictures take up bandwidth. * Site of a dinner hosted by General Uriah Forrest for his old friend and former commander, President George Washington, on March 29, 1791. Landowners of Carrollsburg and George town attended. An agreement was reached for the sale of half of their land within the newly designated 10 mile square Federal District thus creating a new capital city for the United States of America. Immediately thereafter, Pierre L'Enfant began to lay out the Magnificent City of Washington, D.C.
* From 1800 to 1835, residence of the William Marbury of the legal case ‘Marbury vs. Madison'. In 1803, through this case, the United States Supreme Court established its right to judicial review of congressional action.
* In 1988, The Forrest Marbury House was restored by George C. Gerber, Alastair G. Law, and their families in time for the celebrations of the Bicentennials of the Constitution, George Washington's inauguration and the Founding of Washington, D.C.

The Ukrainian Embassy in Washington is the diplomatic mission of Ukraine in Washington D.C.. The embassy is located at 3350 M Street NW, in the heart of Georgetown's commercial district.
The embassy occupies Forrest-Marbury House, originally built in 1788 and housed General Uriah Forrest. Forrest was one of the leaders in the effort to establish the American capital in the area. On March 29, 1791, he hosted George Washington and other dignitaries in a dinner that marked the agreement in principle to establish the new capital. In 1800 the house was purchased by William Marbury, a prominent ally of President John Adams, best known for his role in Marbury v. Madison. The house remained the home of the Marbury family until 1891 when the changing character of the neighbourhood led John Marbury Jr. to turn it into a commercial property.
For many decades it served as the home to a wide array of businesses. Its last commercial role was as the home to a night club named Desperados. In 1986 the building was bought by a developer, refurbished, and restored to its original condition. On December 31, 1992 the building was purchased by newly-independent Ukraine to house its embassy.
