Ex-CIA Loses the Way on Hunt
Expect a little extra activity around the National Building Museum on Monday.
The finale for NBC's puzzle-solving reality show "Treasure Hunters" will be broadcast live at 9 p.m. from the museum as the show's three remaining teams ("Southie Boys," "Air Force" and "Geniuses") learn who won the secret prize.
Todd Moore of Sterling and Jacob Porter of McLean, on the show's "Ex-CIA" team, were eliminated from the competition a few weeks ago but will appear in the finale. "I'm very disappointed," said Porter of his team's failure to make it to the final leg of the contest. "We would have had a huge advantage. We know where everything is in the city."
Moore said he took a month off from his job as a software architect to do the show when the majority of it was filmed last year. "It was a good experience. It taught me to get out and do more in life," he said. The Ex-CIA team got its moniker because Moore, Porter and teammate Mark West all worked for the government agency at some point.
While the team lost out on the final prize (Moore is guessing it's a "large sum of money"), Ex-CIA did win $30,000 in an earlier challenge. The team just hasn't seen the cash yet. "After taxes, after it's split three ways . . . we're going to get a couple of bucks," Moore said. "In our minds, it was great to win it."
Moore said he's excited to see his fellow contestants again and will "be happy for whichever team wins."

I love well-behaved spiders! They are, in fact, how most people find my site. Unfortunately, my network has a limited bandwidth and pictures take up bandwidth. Spiders ask for lots and lots of pages and chew up lots and lots of bandwidth which slows things down considerably for regular folk. To counter this, you'll see all the text on the page but the images are being suppressed. Also, some system options like merges are being blocked for you.
Note: Permission is NOT granted for spiders, robots, etc to use the site for AI-generation purposes. I'm sure you're thrilled by your ability to make revenue from my work but there's nothing in that for my human users or for me.
If you are in fact human, please email me at guthrie.bruce@gmail.com and I can check if your designation was made in error. Given your number of hits, that's unlikely but what the hell.

I still have them though. If you want me to email them to you, please send an email to guthrie.bruce@gmail.com
and I can email them to you, or, depending on the number of images, just repost the page again will the full-sized images.

This means this site does not have SSL installed (the link is http:, not https:). That's bad if you're entering credit card numbers, passwords, or other personal information. But this site doesn't collect any personal information so SSL is not necessary. Life's good!
