Deliberate forgeries also began to appear on the market at that time, helping to meet the insatiable demand for Faberge pieces. Today, an eager public avidly consumes commercial copies and knock-offs that wouldn't fool anyone.
The objects in this section -- some genuine, others not -- are arranged to explore issues of attribution in the study of Faberge.
