In 1971, New York Times reporter Neil Sheehan obtained the classified Pentagon Papers from Daniel Ellsberg. His series of articles documented the secret US Department of Defense history of the Vietnam War. In 1988, he received a Pulitzer Prize for his book "A Bright Shining Lie".
