Existing comment: Bows and Arrows
The construction of bows and arrows was a time consuming process, making them highly valued items. The wood for bows was often cut from flexible saplings, which would be allowed to dry for about a year to properly season them. Shaft construction for an arrow was also a long and laborious tasks. The velocity and accuracy of an arrow was much greater than that of a dart thrown by hand, making it easier to kill large quantities of game.
