250 Years

250 Years of History, Mission, and Community
Along the fence that surrounds St. Paul's Chapel you'll see highlights of its 250-year legacy. Since 1766 -- spanning an extraordinary passage of growth for our city and nation -- St. Paul's Chapel, part of the Parish of Trinity Church Wall Street in Lower Manhattan, abides as New York's oldest building in continuous public use, and as a symbol of faith, endurance, and social good.
It is the place where President George Washington prayed after his inauguration as the nation's first president, where Ground Zero recovery workers were fed and cared for by volunteers in the months that followed the attacks of September 11, and is today a home to ministries of service to the local community. St. Paul's is a story of church, city, and country.
You're invited to explore this outdoor exhibit and discover the many special aspects of St. Paul's. Please also come inside to view a commemorative exhibit as well as the 9/11 Chapel of Remembrance.
Trinity is also marking this important milestone with celebratory services and events in Lower Manhattan, including a music festival, historical lecture series, special tours, and activities for children and families.
