Thomas Addis Emmet (1764-1827)
Thomas Addis Emmet was an Irish patriot and expatriate to the new United States, where he became a successful lawyer and politician. He was a member of the revolutionary republican group the Society of United Irishmen in the 1790s and served as New York State Attorney General (1812-13). |
