Existing comment: Rockville; F Scott Fitzgerald Grave

Here's the grave of F Scott Fitzgerald, who wrote a number of things but is most remembered for "The Great Gatsby". His wife Zelda is buried with him.

The grave itself is in Rockville, Maryland, located just outside of the beltway. Rockville was the site of a Civil War skirmish. As Robert E Lee was aiming toward Pennsylvania in 1863, he had allowed his cavalry under JEB Stuart to go out and Stuart had gone a bit overboard, being in non-contact with Lee's main force when Lee came upon the uncounted Union forces in Gettysburg. During the night of June 27-28, 1863, Stuart's men came upon a 125-wagon train between Rockville and Tenleytown and seized it. The action delayed his forces as he tried to rejoin Lee's men.
