About the Purple Line:
The Purple Line is a 16-mile light rail connection between Bethesda and New Carrollton. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2016. When completed, the Purple Line will serve the communities of Bethesda, Silver Spring, Takoma/Langley Park, UMD College Park Campus, Riverdale Park and New Carrollton and offer connections to Red, Green and Orange Metrorail, MARC and Amtrak trains and local bus services. |
