Tables and chairs are available for outdoor dining and relaxation. Sculptures by Alexander Calder at lower left and upper right are from the collection of the Smithsonian American Art Museum. The two trees later contracted Dutch elm disease and had to be removed. The renovation's transformation of the courtyard for year-round use necessitated the paving and landscaping you see today. |
