Existing comment: Stained-Glass Pane, c 1884
This pane came from a window in the stairwell of the Great Hall. After an 1877 fire, the top-floor galleries were rebuilt in an ornate Victorian style. The Great Hall received the most lavish, colorful decoration, with stained-glass windows, tile floors, and faux marble finishes.
You can see the complete window on the panel "Renovation in Progress."
