This mural project was led by LA-based street artist and "yard bomber" London Kaye and completed with the help of over 150 volunteers from around the world.
Each person crocheted a square that was stitched together to create this 40 foot [wide -- 20 feet high] piece celebrating Kamala Harris, our first Madam Vice President. It was hung on International Women's Day 2021 at The Wharf.
This is the sixth mural made by @loveacrosstheusa, a community art initiative started by the renowned artist Olek in 2015 that celebrates women's voices.
