Jest Laffs Comic Strips
Jerry Iger Studio, circa 1936 to 1939
Art by Bob Kane, signed Robert

Born as Robert Kahn, he graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School and legally changed his name to Robert Kane in 1936. Prior to his and Bill Finger's creation of Batman in 1939, Kane began worker for the Eisner-Iger studio in New York City as a staff artist. While there, Kane drew Jest Laffs appearing in Jumbo Comics under the Fiction House label ending in issue #8. However, neither of these pieces appeared there and it is possible these two pieces were used elsewhere or unpublished.
