Existing comment: The Redlands Library, 1898
W.H. Amos
Painted for the Library's donor Albert K. Smiley. Note that absence of "A.K. Smiley Public Library" above the entrance. It was in May, 1898 after the library dedication that the Redlands city council surprised Mr. Stanley by naming the building in his honor. The Painting has been part of the Smiley family rooms at their resort in New York State.
