On September 11th, I was 10 years old. The teachers were unable to tell us what was going on and when my dad picked me up from school he had the difficult task of telling a child what happened. I was lucky to have parents who were patient with my questions and watch the news with me to explain the situation.
It didn't seem to hit me until I saw a child on the news who had lost a parent and the affects of September 11th sunk in. I will never forget. |
