Existing comment: Decommissioned C Reactor
Hanford, undated
The original nuclear reactors at the Hanford site have now been decommissioned, a process that often involves "cocooning" the structures in thick concrete and adding new roofs to prevent the leakage of residual radiation. An exception was made for the B Reactor, which has been decontaminated and converted into a museum. It is the centerpiece of the recently established Manhattan Project National Historical Park at Hanford.
