John Hitchcock, a lifetime comic book fan and writer, owns and operates Parts Unknown, a comic book shop in Greensboro, NC. His book, Dear John: The Alex Toth Doodle Book is a collection of correspondence (over two decades worth) with legendary comic book creator, Alex Toth (1928-2006). Toth is best known for his Hanna- Barbera creations Space Ghost, The Herculoids, Birdman and Thundar The Barbarian, as well as his work on the Super Friends and Jonny Quest cartoons. John, a Greensboro native, will also be featured on the DVD release of Space Ghost later this year. |
