Rev. Dr. King was not only a civil rights reform activist, he stood
for equality among all peoples. His dream for the equal rights of
all mankind has left our society a better place for all people.
His dream lives on even after his assassination April 4, 1968.
This statue was originally dedicated January 16, 1989 and was re-dedicated
September 18, 1993 at this location known as Freedom Corner.
