Existing comment: Norman Rockwell
"OK" the Pause that Refreshes, 1931

Though Rockwell preferred the relative autonomy of magazine cover illustration, advertising was more lucrative. He created imagery for more than 150 corporations and institutions, including Coca-Cola, which commissioned from the artist six original illustrations. In this Depression-era work, a barefoot boy enjoys life's simple pleasures, including a bottle of Coke.
