Talking to George C. Will @ the 2002 National Press Club's book fair, Phyllis George passed on May 14, 2020. She was crowned Miss America 1971 back in September 1970 and later was a sports caster and news anchor for CBS News. After taking one of her photos during this 2002 event, she was the only one who asked to see the photo to make sure she looked okay. She sure did! |
