Existing comment: The heading was interesting. "The Washington Post" but under it was "Times Herald". According to the Wikipedia article, in 1954, the Washington Post newspaper consolidated its position by acquiring and merging with its last morning rival, the Washington Times-Herald. The combined paper would officially be named The Washington Post and Times-Herald until 1973, although the Times-Herald portion of the masthead became less and less prominent after the 1950s.
