Boston Globe reporter Michael Rezendes, at right in this photo, wore this marathon bib and these running shoes and shorts in the 2013 Boston Marathon. When bombs exploded as Rezendes neared the home stretch of the race, he leapt into reporter mode, heading to a nearby bar to borrow a phone to call his editor. After interviewing eyewitnesses near the finish line, he returned to the Globe newsroom to file his story, still wearing his running shorts. |
