Existing comment: EXTRAORDINARY
By virtue of their design, some places are extraordinary; they make us feel or experience things differently. They can be singular, such as a monument, museum, or memorial-or surprising, offering an unconventional twist on the familiar.

Far more than a parking garage, this structure affords spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica from its upper levels, while a café, shops, and garden on the main terrace animate the pedestrian traffic flow. Powered by rooftop solar panels, it was the first such structure to receive LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.
