AL KONETZNI is a pioneer in Disney character merchandising. For nearly 30 years, Al developed ideas and designs for toys, clothing, stationary, and more, all featuring the beloved Disney characters. An idea man, artist and self-taught marketer, Al joined Disney in 1953 and coordinated licensing with companies including General Electric and Hallmark. Many of the delightfully designed products created by Al are today prized collectors items among Disney fans, including the famed Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck Pez candy dispensers. Al's most famous creation is the Disney School Bus lunch box, the best selling lunch box in history. He was named a Disney Legend in 1999. |
