LORI TYMINSKI, Senior Storybook Artist for Disney Publishing Worldwide, left a 15-year career as an auditor to study illustration at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. Lori, who works in a range of styles primarily with pastel and watercolor, has shown at juried shows throughout the San Francisco Bay area and one of her pieces currently hangs in the Lindsay museum in Walnut Creek, California. Joining the Walt Disney Company as an apprentice in 1996, Lori became part of the Disney publishing staff in 1997. "I wanted my Mickey entry to relate to publishing, where so many of his adventures began," she says. "I also wanted the statue to have a vintage feel to acknowledge Mickey's wonderful past." |
