SUSAN LUCCI has been a fan of television soap operas from childhood, so it is fitting that, from 1970 to the present, she is best known as Erica Kane on ABC's All My Children. Susan also became famous for her string of Daytime Emmy® Award nominations: every year from 1981-93 and 1995-98, she earned a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Her unlucky streak-zero wins out of 18 nominations-was finally broken in 1999 when Susan took home the Emmy. She also appeared on the primetime drama series Dallas and starred in such television movies as Mafia Princess (1986) and Blood on Her Hands (1998).
Susan's distinguished career is recognized through "All The World's His Stage," which pays homage to some of her greatest roles, including Annie from Broadway's Annie Get Your Gun, and Erica Kane from ABC's All My Children. |
