REGIS PHILBIN is the host of Buena Vista Television's Live With Regis and Kelly. A television icon and broadcasting veteran for more than 40 years, Regis spawned his trademark style of "host chat" with his first talk show, The Regis Philbin Show. In 1983, he created New York's The Morning Show in which he was joined by Kathie Lee Gifford in 1985. The show was renamed Live With Regis & Kathie Lee when it became nationally syndicated in 1988. In 1999, Regis started hosting the highest-rated prime-time game show in history, Who Wants to be a Millionaire. In 2001, Regis Philbin won Emmy® Awards as Outstanding Game Show Host and Outstanding Talk Show Host.
