Existing comment: The Masters of Cartoon

Looking at a century of cartoon in El Universal is an essential part of the history of the cartoon in Mexico; more so, of the history of the country.

Through its pages traveled and continue to transit almost all Mexican cartoonists of the twentieth century.

It should be noted that after the 1968 student movement, two of the most important cartoonists in our history arrived at El Universal: Helio Flores and Rogelio Naranjo. They became undisputed pillars of the democratizing process that, since then, began to take shape and break the monopoly of the single party.

With this duo, many young artists published their work in the "Great newspaper of Mexico."

The masters of cartoon traced our history and portrayed this country in a very serious way: through humor.
