Much of the Washington DC public transportation system is underground, such as this stop at the NIH Medical Center on a Saturday Night (not the most popular place to be on a date night I guess). Trains are announced by the flashing of the platform lights and doors close with a familiar "bing bong" chime. Note the security camera on the ceiling.
PS It's not true that the creature from the movie "Alien" was discovered here during tunnel construction. |
