Being an intrepid fool, I went down to the Lincoln Memorial on Sunday, January 23 to cover the alternate reality of the Defeat the Mandates anti-fax/anti-facts rally. I hadn't been around this many unmasked, loud, crowded-together people since pre-pandemic times and left after 90 minutes or so. Even the Losers Marches had a fair number of masked marchers but not this one. Since the anti-vaxxers are most of the people dying these days from COVID, I guess the problem will work out eventually. |
