This is the Henry Hill House. The original house was destroyed in the first battle of Manassas. After the war, it was rebuilt as this two-story building which was old enough to be considered historic when the Park Service acquired the land so it had to remain. So you have this two-story building which people think is the same as the much smaller house that was here during the battle. There's also a monument in front which was added right after the war. |
