SPX presents the Ignatz Awards annually. The award is named for American cartoonist George Herriman's brick-wielding mouse from the "Krazy Kat" comic strip of the 1910s. Unlike mainstream comic awards like the Eisner Awards, the Ignatz honors independent comics.
