Existing comment: Autobiographies

Harvey Pekar's American Splendor was a long running autobiographical series initially drawn by influential Underground Comix artist Robert Crumb. American Splendor, drawn by a rotating set of artists, appeared irregularly between 1976 and 2008 and helped popularize the autobiographical and semi-autobiographical comic genre. Today, many independent creators' works follow in this tradition that Pekar helped to establish.
