Doug Mendel has traveled to more than 50 countries and spent 20 years in the Colorado Rockies before moving to Capitol Hill in 2015. He is the author of "Cambodia Fire," the story of how his 1997 visit to Cambodia led him to establish a nonprofit fund to provide fire trucks, supplies, and gear to the people there.
