This model of the Statue of Liberty was designed and built by LEGO to mark the opening in 2017 of the exhibits in The Nation We Build Together, located in this museum on 2 West.
Since arriving from France in 1885, "Liberty Enlightening the World," more commonly known as the Statue of Liberty, has been an important symbol of the United States of America. She has come to represent welcome and hope in a new land, as well as the ambitious promise set forth in the Declaration of Independence that all people have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. |
