Existing comment: Women's International League for Peace and Freedom

Rosa Parks was active in the Detroit branch of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom for many years. She was an early opponent of U.S. involvement in Vietnam. During the Vietnam War she participated in a variety of group antiwar mobilizations and programs. This issue of the Detroit Women for Peace newsletter features local appearances by Congressman John Conyers, Jr., (D-MI) and Ralph Abernathy.
