As the Jackson 5 topped the Billboard charts in 1970, marketer Gordon Gold placed plastic stickers bearing their likenesses and song lyrics into boxes of frosted Rice Krinkles. Advertisers boosted sales of food products by placing premiums, or giveaways, inside food packaging, often taking advantage of the popularity of family-friendly performers. While the stickers were truly ephemeral, this uncut sheet provides a sense of how Jobete Music's Berry Gordy collaborated with advertisers to increase the visibility of the Jackson 5 in American households.
