Existing comment: Dora and Shifra Reznik (in the flowered dresses) with friends in prewar times in Butrimonys, Lithuania. The two Jewish women escaped the massacre of September 9, 1941, in which Germans and their Lithuanian collaborators killed 740 men, women, and children in fields outside the town. They survived in hiding until liberation, thanks to the help they received from their neighbors, Jonas and Felicija Radlinskas.
