I went to the Rally to End Gun Violence at the Capitol on Wednesday. The major focus was trying to outlaw assault rifles and do background checks, something that Mitch the Turtle keeps refusing to allow a vote on. I missed folks like Nancy Pelosi but for me the highlight was seeing Peter Yarrow. The Peter, Paul and Mary member had been doing appearances for social justice since the 1960s. |
