Fez, 1862
Jacob E. Arnold was 20 years old when he eniisted in the 114th Pennsylvania Infantry on August 23, 1862 in Philadelphia. As a part of the brightly clad, French-colonial inspired "Collis's Zouaves," Arnold wore this fez. He survived the war and mustered out of service in May of 1865. |
