Existing comment: This is the Soviet moon suit. Notice the braces which were required because, while the arms and legs were flexible like the American suit, the torso was very rigid and it was difficult to walk around in the suit. The boots are made of a flexible leather. The helmet is gold-plated like the US versions because that's a good light reflector. The suit itself was purchased by Ross Perot (the Soviets were desperate for money after the collapse of Communism) and loaned to the museum.
