October 27, 1858 - January 6, 1919

Our 26th President had a never-ending source of energy, a photographic memory, and a vast knowledge of history. He was an avid hunter, yet also a leader in protecting and conserving America's natural beauty; he was a Conservative, yet fought for labor reforms and industrial regulation; he sought glory on the battlefield, yet also won the Nobel Peace Prize. His domestic Square Deal policy, and approach to foreign policies, such as the creation of the Panama Canal, set the tone for America in the 20th Century.
