Lucy Spelman's speech was interesting. She mentioned that the new facility in Asia Trail I would let them do more scientific research. "The design team's goal for Asia Trail is to create an experience that will bring our visitors closer to the animals as well as to some of the scientific questions we are asking about them every day. For example, why does a giant panda prefer one species of bamboo to another? ... How do sloth bears reach 200 pounds by eating ants and termites?" |
