On September 8, 1966, the original Star Trek aired. As a kid, I loved the show. In hindsight, the acting and the story-lines weren't exactly great but for all who watched it, it struck a chord that kept amplifying through the years. Since the debut, I've seen most of the original cast, usually at San Diego Comic-Con. George Takei, shown here back in 2010 at the National Archives, is probably the most beloved of the actors on the show. Long live and prosper, y'all! |
