Founders of the Black and Missing Foundation confirmed in an interview last month that, according to FBI statistics, 64,000 black women and girls were reported missing last year.
The statistic does not include those who have been found safe or left voluntarily -- although the founders still see a spike in the number of black girls missing -- leaving a terrible void and lack of closure for family members and friends.] |
