National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial:
The Memorial at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia consists of 184 stainless steel and granite benches, each cantilevered over a lighted pool of flowing water. The age and location of each victim at the time of the attack is conveyed through the design. Military and civilian employees and the passengers and flight crew who lost their lives in the attack are honored. The Memorial opened on September 11, 2008. |
