Calls from Flight 93
From the back of the plane, at least thirteen passengers and crew members make telephone calls from Airfones located on center seatbacks in each row or from personal cell phones. These calls are shown on the illustration of the plane to the right and reveal where those people are sitting at specific moments after the terrorist takeover of the plane.
The men and women aboard Flight 93 place at least 37 calls. Many of the calls are dropped or interrupted. However, flight attendants are able to reach United Airlines to report the hijacking. Together the calls provide a glimpse of the last minutes of the passengers and crew. |
