The Capitol is a striking, white, Neoclassical building located at the east end of the National Mall in Washington, DC. It has four wings which house the meeting chambers of the Senate and the House of Representatives. The Capitol is crowned with a massive cast iron dome 100 feet in diameter. Atop the dome is the 19-foot tall bronze Statue of Freedom. |
