The United States Congress acted swiftly to authorize the creation of a national memorial to honor the passengers and crew members of Flight 93. Within one year of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the Flight 93 National Memorial Act became law and the catalyst for a unique partnership. The National Park Service along with the National Park Foundation, Flight 93 Advisory Commission, Families of Flight 93, Flight 93 Memorial Task Force, and Friends of Flight 93 National Memorial acknowledge the more than 120,000 individuals and organizations that supported the Capital Campaign to build this national memorial. ...
